kind of a mural out of postcards?? how to?

I have an amazing collection of scenic postcards, they are really pretty and have been collecting for years… they are of beautiful places in Cornwall, Cambridge, Lake district and scotland etc.
I want to make a kind of huge mural by sticking them together on a huge sheet or something and then sticking it on my walll…
Thing is, I am not an artist. At all. So I think there are better ways to do this, can someone help me and give me ideas as to how to accomplish this??
Thanks. Answers from artists-like people would be appreciated. :)

Find an image that you really like, for ex a persons face and make a black and white copy of it to see where the dark and light areas are. Then, sort your postcards by colour and then by light and dark (light blue in one pile, dark blue in another). Then, put your postcard in a spot that relates to the photo. For ex, if you have a postcard showing mainly dark brown earth put that in the place of a persons hair or if you have one of the purple shading on a mountain, put that one in the place of shade on the persons face etc. I hope you understand what I mean. In other words, you are making a picture of the postcards so that when you stand back, you don’t see the postcards but the image that you are creating. It will make it easier for you if you measure squares on your black and white photocopy so that the image is easier to follow. Good luck.
